Who We Are
The Spring Green Center for Creativity and Innovation – better known as C4C – is a not-for-profit, idea-into-action incubator comprising a small group of volunteer planners from a variety of backgrounds – business, education, agriculture, government, the arts – who share a love for the River Valley, a desire to see it prosper, and a commitment to faithfully care for its abundant human and natural resources.
What We Do
We are passionate about partnering with people and organizations – whether in the public or private sector – to creatively and productively utilize all the human resources of the River Valley in ways that promote community health and prosperity, foster a strong and sustainable economy, and enrich the lives of our citizens. For a firmer handle on what we do, please see Projects.
How We Do It
By and large our modus operandi is to identify an emerging community need, promising opportunity, unrequited interest, or just a good idea that needs a little more horsepower, then match it to resources that already exist for such ventures – money is one of the bigger ones (usually money from outside the community) – then find people within the community who are motivated and, often, better equipped than we are to take the idea and run with it, then lightly monitor its progress, help it along when necessary, and sit back and enjoy the results.
Mission & Goals
The mission of the Center for Creativity and Innovation is to recognize, celebrate, and encourage creativity in all sectors of the River Valley community – in education, business, industry, government, the arts, and civic life; to make the Spring Green area a nationally recognized center for the teaching, exploration, and practice of creativity; and to explore the riches and mystery of the creative process itself, not just its product.
